The Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center CIC nanoGUNE, created with the mission of conducting world-class nanoscience research for the competitive growth of the Basque Country and recently recognized as a "María de Maeztu" Excellence Unit (2017-2021), is currently looking for a
LAB MANAGER
to work on the
Nanobiomechanics group
The prospective candidate will be in charge of lab organization and management of the Nanobiomechanics group, and might also be involved in research projects. (S)he will learn all the technical aspects of the lab that involve cell culture, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification, and cutting-edge single-molecule instrumentation.
The initial appointment is a fixed-term position for one year, with the expectation to be extended to a permanent position.
The candidate should have a degree in chemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, or related areas with a strong background in molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry. A Master or PhD degree might be an advantage.
Furthermore, the candidate should have excellent communication and team work skills, willingness to face new challenges, solve problems, and achieve goals. Proficiency in spoken and written English is compulsory.
