Información:

The Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center CIC nanoGUNE, created with the mission of conducting world-class nanoscience research for the competitive growth of the Basque Country and recently recognized as a "María de Maeztu" Excellence Unit (2017-2021), is currently looking for a

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

to work on:

MAGNETIC FILMS WITH COMPOSITIONAL GRADIENT STRUCTURES

The research project aims at the design, fabrication, and experimental characterization of new magnetic film and multilayer structures with predefined compositional gradients, for the purpose of analysing their collective magnetic, magneto-optical and transport behaviour. Furthermore, for the most promising materials structures, nanofabrication into devices and their magneto-electronic characterization is envisioned.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Physics or related fields and a solid background in magnetism and thin film growth, including epitaxial growth.

The project will be performed in the Nanomagnetism group under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Berger in collaboration with the Nanodevices group.

We offer an international and competitive environment, state-of-the-art equipment, and the possibility of performing research at the highest level. The position is available immediately and for a length of two years. In the first instance, the contract will be financed by grant MDM-2016-0618 of the "María de Maeztu" 2016 call of the Spanish National Research Agency.

The candidates should apply by 31st May 2019 through the form available on the webpage of the offer at (http://www.nanogune.eu/careers), attaching a cover letter, a complete CV, and at least two reference letters grouped in a single PDF file.

NOTES:

* Applications that do not follow the instructions indicated above will not be considered further.

* The deadline for applications is 31st May 2019.

* Please note that due to the large number of submissions expected, we cannot provide individual feedback.
