Proteomic Analysis of Bacterial Adhesion Proteins

Characteristics of the position:

We are seeking for candidates to fill a PhD position in experimental biochemistry, in the field of Mechanobiology. The successful candidate will form part of a research group studying mechanobiology using a variety of techniques including atomic force spectroscopy and magnetic tweezers. The group develops multidisciplinary research with clear focus on the mechanical properties of proteins related to bacterial and viral infections. The research will be performed under the supervision of Prof. Raul Perez Jimenez, and in collaboration with the group of David De Sancho from the University of Basque Country.

Knowledge and Competences:

The ideal candidate should have a Master in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields, with a background and interest on mass spectrometry and protein analysis. Proficiency in English and communication skills, good hands on experimental work, and cooperative attitude to work in a team are a must.
