The Nanoengineering group at the CIC nanoGUNE (San Sebastian, Spain) is looking for a technician in optical engineering

Description of the project

In the Nanoengineering Group we develop methods, devices and instrumentation for photonic biosensing. In this context, we are building up a novel, compact spectrometer including Raman and FTIR spectroscopy. Our spectroscopic systems will further be coupled to fiber-based probes for medical analysis. It is expected to work on the design and fabrication of optical systems and peripheral modules

• Optomechanical design
• Fabrication and assembly of optomechanical modules
• Testing of modules and integrated photonic systems

Required degree: Master of Engineering, Technician

Required experience: Mechanical tooling, CAD systems, building up optical systems, high precision assembly and adjustment

Knowledge and competences: Interdisciplinary working style, fluent in English, profound knowledge in mechanics and technical optics, well organized working style

What we offer: contract from 01/03/2019 to 31/12/2019
