to work on
Nanophotonics
NanoGUNE, located in San Sebastián (Spain), is a research center dedicated to basic and applied world-class nanoscience and technology. The institute features an excellent modern infrastructure for nano and microfabrication including a clean room facility, advanced electron microscopy, equipment for characterization, and multidisciplinary expertise and instrumentation in various laboratories.
Candidates must have completed a PhD between 01/01/2009 and 31/12/2017, preferably in physics, chemistry or any related engineering field.
The Nanoengineering Group at CIC nanoGUNE is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with research interests at the interface between fundamental nanoscience and applied engineering, preferably for biomedical applications. We are especially looking for highly motivated applicants of strong academic and international background, working in the field of (bio)nanophotonics/plasmonics.
The candidate should have a strong background in optical systems, micro & nanotechnology, electromagnetic simulations, biofunctionalization, and multivariate analysis, and is expected to work in a highly interdisciplinary research environment with clinical and industrial partners.

Characteristics of the position:
