The Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center CIC nanoGUNE, created with the mission of conducting world-class nanoscience research for the competitive growth of the Basque Country and recently recognized as a "María de Maeztu" Excellence Unit (2017-2021), is currently looking for a

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER 

to work on

TUNABLE MAGNETO-PHOTONIC NANOSTRUCTURES

The research project aims at the design, synthesis, modelling, and experimental characterization of new tuneable magneto-photonic nanostructures opto-thermally activated as well as their use for the implementation of low-power data transfer and computation devices. 

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Physics or related fields and a solid background in magnetism and/or optics.

The project will be performed in the Nanomagnetism group under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Vavassori in collaboration with the Nanooptics and Nanodevices groups.

The position is available immediately and for a length of two years. In the first instance, the contract will be financed by grant MDM-2016-0618 of the "María de Maeztu" 2016 call of the Spanish National Research Agency.
