PREDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

to work in Photonic Engineering


The Nanoengineering Group at CIC nanoGUNE develops methods, devices and instrumentation related to optical and photonic approaches combined with novel features based on nanotechnology. The research areas cover medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, food quality characterization, material analysis and further topics related to photonics, particularly spectroscopy and plasmonics. The topic is still open and to be defined regarding the skills of the candidate and the research line where the candidate will be allocated after the interview.

Official Spanish Degree and University Master or corresponding European degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, or any related Engineering field.

The position of a 3(+1) years PhD program is subject to a successful application in the Predoc Berri program 2019 of the Basque Government.

The candidate must be resident in the Basque Country from at least January 1st, 2019.

The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team with external partners. We expect a highly motivated person that interactively collaborates with other projects of the group.

Knowledge and competences: Interdisciplinary working style, fluent in English, profound knowledge in optics/photonics
