Theory and Simulation of nanostructures of two-dimensional materials

CIC nanoGUNE, located in San Sebastian, Basque Country (Spain), leads a very successful project joining several research groups in Spain by which controlled graphene nanostructures are grown on various substrates, and then characterised and tailored for both fundamental research and possible applications. 

The Theory group at the CIC nanoGUNE Research Center in San Sebastian (Spain) is currently looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher who is interested in the area of Theory and Simulation of nanostructures of two-dimensional materials. 

The main prurpose of this post is the furthering the understanding of existing and new nanostructures, on the substrates where they are grown and on other substrates (by transfer), by means of theory and computational first-principles simulation. 

A successful applicant will possess the following:

• PhD in physics or theoretical chemistry
• Experience in density-functional theory calculations

The contract will be for 1 year. The position is available immediately.
