In the Nanomagnetism group, a full-time Research Engineer/Scientist position is available from January 2016. This position will be dedicated to the design, building and testing of a novel magneto-optical device, as well as the management of a corresponding research collaboration with multiple partners. We are especially looking for a highly motivated applicant who has extensive hands-on experience in the design and operation of sophisticated laboratory instrumentation.

For consideration, the candidate is expected to have a relevant engineering or science degree. Advanced degrees, such as a Master or Ph.D. in a relevant field is an advantage, but not mandatory. The candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary research project, has to have excellent organization skills and excel at being a team player. The ideal candidate will furthermore be skilled in optical measurement techniques, electrical circuitry and automated measurement control and data analysis systems. The working language at nanoGUNE is English.

In the first instance, the position is a 12-months term appointment and expected to begin in early 2016.
