A PhD studentship is open at the nanoGUNE institute (San Sebastian). It will lead to PhD thesis on the development and use of ab initio methods for materials simulation, within the SIESTA project.

Candidates must have a master degree in condensed matter physics, quantum chemistry, or similar, with the equivalent of 300 european-system credits of undergraduate and master studies.

The final application must be done electronically at the Spanish MINECO web page, before September 27.

This offer is part of a call for three studentships related to the SIESTA project, the other two being based in the Autonomous University of Madrid (contact jose.soler@uam.es), and the Catalan Institute for Nanosicience and Nanotechnology in Barcelona (contact miguel.pruneda@icn2.cat).
